Fred Workman

When I was hired to work for the Harpers in 2002, they ran about 300 head of cattle at the most on about 10 thousand acres. Due to my knowledge of the rough southeastern Oklahoma country and cattle, in about 6 years, I turned the operation around, and from then on, I had 600-750 momma cows and 400 yearlings.

Duties included feeding, doctoring, gathering, Artificial Insemination (done by a vet), and ensuring everything was running smoothly.

This outfit had ranches in Utah, Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma, and a couple of other places in the West. I would go straighten out and gather cattle the other hands could not get under control.

This man had yearlings all over the country, which I made sure were being doctored and taken care of as they should be.
