Growing up playing the game of golf, I always had a love and appreciation for the sport and what it means to people. From my very first job as a groundman, I knew that this is what I wanted to pursue and was determined to learn and grow in this industry. Lucky enough, the first course I worked for held a Senior PGA tournament, The Regions Tradition, so I was able to see how a high end private course operates during a professional/televised event and learn the details expected of such an event. This love for tournaments led me to volunteer for the 2018 Womens Open at Shoal Creek, and I still occasionally volunteer for The Regions Tradition. Since my early days and leaving Greystone, I have worked on many different crews and courses and have learned from many great mentors, including Jeremy while working at Springdale. I am seasoned as a turf manager and fully understand what it takes to succeed in this industry and the mentality it takes to thrive in it. I am a believer that the majority of what we do is not managing turf, but leading people and that is something that I take great pride in doing.
