I am a single mother of three boys who all attend school in Grants Pass with unlimited support. Iv been paraplegic wheelchair-bound for 18 years and have become extremely independent and determined in those years. I have a positive attitude about my disability and enjoy sharing my story with the students. I love my job as a substitute paraprofessional in Eagle Point but I just moved to Grants Pass and am looking for a more permanent position. I am currently enrolled in Grand Canyon University working on my Post Secondary in Math to further my education.
I have experience in providing staff support in educational or childcare environments. Worked with children individually and in small groups while providing basic reading, writing and math instruction and other education-related activities as assigned. Demonstrated ability as Paraprofessional to foster positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues. Committed to providing culturally responsive support, meeting diverse needs of students. Patient demeanor creates environment where students feel comfortable asking questions while learning new concepts.
