Driven EFT POS Analyst for Publix, focused on providing the highest quality service to our customers and my team. My responsibilities are daily tracers and desk tasks related to Publix gift cards including whatever journal entries are required to reconcile the affected accounts at the end of a given month. A devoted team member willing to do whatever is needed for the best result possible. Most importantly I am here to help!
Since joining Publix and the Point of Sale team i have become responsible for balancing gift card activation and redemption out of balances. This is important because in these instances there is a strong possibility the customer could be due money without even knowing it. Having gained confidence and proficiency in researching and clearing those out of balances I became tasked with the month end procedures related to Publix gift cards. This includes preparing multiple journal entries to clear specific types of out of balances across multiple accounts, as well as ensuring the monthly recon is accurately transcribed and any out of balances are researched. These specific tasks also come with the daily desk activities of completing various research tracers and answering phone calls to ensure customers and team members are receiving any support they need.
Andy Thornal Co. is a small business, so naturally I have a range of responsibilities all throughout the store. As the primary purchaser for our shoe department tracking sales performance for various products while maintaining good stock in them is extremely important. This is achieved from maintaining good contact and relationship with suppliers and doing in depth product research before deciding to add a product or line. Given current hiccups in the supply chain for most imported goods this has improved my ability to creatively solve problems around availability and quality alternatives. I am also responsible for a portion of product data entry into the point of sale program. This is used by the store to ensure the SKU and stock numbers are correct for online sales. The most important thing overall to a small business is ensuring the customer is satisfied, so ultimately my main day to day task is providing quality and timely service to as many as 50 customers per day.
Nicks for Men is a Menswear store that provides dress clothes often for weddings proms or other events requiring formal wear. This position taught me to be adaptive to hard deadlines with a major goal in mind. Helping individuals with what is considered one of the most important days of their lives required high attention to detail and a focus on always doing right by the customer.
