  • As a sandwich maker, I had to learn how to work in a team environment, as well as have very good customer service.
  • I got along well with my co-workers; this created a team-working environment that also worked well under pressure.
  • I gained a lot of my customer service experience by also being a cashier. I dealt with many different kinds of people, from very rude to very nice. Throughout all of that, I always stayed positive and was a kind person to all of my customers, no matter the energy I received from them.

  • I had to learn how to remain calm in high-stress situations. I worked with four kids, three under the age of ten, and one who was blind and mentally challenged, This taught me a lot about staying calm and collected even in a high stress situation.
  • Working with a child whose brain works differently from everyone else showed me a lot about patience. Knowing that he did not understand things the same way his siblings did, or anyone around him, showed me I had to adapt to that and be patient with him.
  • I have also worked with newborns, and as everyone knows, they are not easy! These are more times that I had to remain calm and collected, no matter the situation, as well.
