As a teacher, one of my ultimate goals is to provide students with skills and steps for their overall success. However, providing a safe, caring, and supportive environment is critical to helping students gain their own sense of belonging and importance.
- Help to establish the PCD class at my current school, as it did not exist before the 2023-24 school year
- Guide and support Teacher Assistants with in-class and inclusion activities and procedures
- Work with General Education Teachers to address inclusion strategies, as well as to provide Consultative services for 4K students for Behavior / Social Skills
- Provide data-based information and professional opinions and thoughts regarding plans for student placement
- Maintain professional and supportive communication with students' families
- Create and implement IEPs to best serve students in their Least Restrictive Setting
- Create Accommodations and Modifications to lessons and activities to ensure all students have access to learning materials suited for them
