Cassandra Day

I am an elementary teacher with 22 years of experience in Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades. I work hard every day to build meaningful relationships with my students. I create a positive learning environment where all students feel important, loved, and valued. I work hard to put a desire in my students to be life-long learners.

Recognized as a Student Success: Featured Alum by the College Board of Trustees in 2019 (Waubonsee Community College)

Received training in Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and was part of my school's ACEs team for multiple years.

Recognized in the Beacon News in 2018 for implementing Morning Meetings with my students which was a school initiative to promote wellness, build relationships and a sense of community within the classroom.
