Dynamic leader with a strong background in nonprofit initiatives and community support. Proven ability to drive impactful projects, enhance collaboration, and foster empathy in diverse teams.
I created a club, Healing with Music, at UC Irvine to use my passion for music to provide support and joy to patients and everyone. We have different volunteer events that incorporate music into helping others and to help patients.
I work at a psychiatric clinic, Central City Community Health Center, in Anaheim. In this clinic, I interview psychiatric patients before they meet with the psychiatrist to help him get a better understanding of what their concerns are.
I was the previous workshop coordinator for Global Medical Training at UCI, in which I led pre-health related workshops that included hands-on activities and guest speakers. Currently, I am the Vice President, in which I lead the research team within our board on top of handling all of the internal and external affairs of our club.
I play guitar for patients at the UCI Medical Center to help them recover and to provide them joy in their times of need.
I am the VP of Peer Support, in which I lead our club's peer support group. In our peer support groups, we provide support for traumatic brain injury and acquired brain injury patients.
At the Food Pantry, I help distribute food to families in need.
I have been on clinical trips abroad to places in Central and South America, such as Nicaragua, Panama, and Peru, to help provide free medical services to the underserved communities. On these clinic trips, I have helped out with EKG's, vitals, pharmacy, scribing, and coming up with tentative diagnoses and treatment plans that are approved by a licensed doctor.
I was the principal investigator and lead researcher for the research project with Global Medical Training at UCI. The research topic we studied was researching more about the barriers parental guardians face in supporting their child's academic enrichment outside of academic enrichment programs. The research was conducted at The Boys and Girls Club at Santa Ana, using the food pantry attendees as participants for the research study. After all the research was conducted, the research was presented at the UCI UROP Symposium.
I was the principal investigator for research with Global Medical Training.
