Additional Information

Situations that make me feel like a great food service worker 1. I had a resident receive a food that they could not eat due to religious reasons. I had gotten the call from them being very upset. I delivered them a cup of coffee and apologized. I asked if there was anything else I could make them in the kitchen and they told me they wanted pasta with sauce so I went back downstairs made them the pasta and delivered it immediately. They were so happy and forgiving to the mistake we had made. 2. I make it a point to learn their names of every Resident, and to learn there favorite foods. 3. When a new Resident was admitted I was sure to see and greet them immediately. I obtained their food preferences and allergies if any and explained things they need to know about food service. 4. If I see Residents struggling to eat (due to me in the dishroom a lot I see how much they eat) I will go upstairs and fill a menu out with them so they can feel satisfied and not feel like they have to eat what they get.
