Volunteer Placement Process

• Manage the process of placing all trained volunteers in shelter shifts, aligning with the needs of the shelters and the volunteers' location preferences and availability.
• Conduct follow-ups with both volunteers and shelters post-placement to ensure a proper match.
• Utilize the database system to maintain accurate and up-to-date volunteer records.

Volunteer Management

• Facilitate the daily management of Playspace shifts at shelter-based programs, ensuring smooth operation and addressing any immediate needs or issues.

Volunteer Support

• Respond to all active volunteer communications within two business days.
• Address and follow up on any volunteer-related concerns, escalating to the Assistant Program Director when necessary.
• Track volunteer attendance monthly and contact volunteers who have missed their shifts.
• Provide volunteers with resources on trauma-informed and developmentally appropriate activities for young children.
• Conduct 5-6 shift visits a month to ensure volunteers are supported and shifts are running smoothly.

• trains willing volunteers to create team leaders on meal prep teams and work with ED to create volunteer training program
