  • For the past six months I have been working on detail as the Montague Supervisory Program Specialist, and acted as a Director or Assistant Director at different times, completed with TEXAN program documents as a group as this is vital part of our programming that we show on a daily basis, analyzed and created work schedules to meet programming needs, provided breaks for anyone needing them, preparing reports that are needed to be printed out weekly and monthly, provided program accountability during program hours, overseeing operations of a School Age Care after-school program and a Teen after-school care program since February
  • I have an exuberant amount of experience in the 4-H curriculum's as well as the BGCA curriculum's as in the programs that I work in
  • I make sure that the programing that is being put out to the youth coincides with the program plans and programming criteria that is set forth as I make sure that I and my staff are all proficient in research, creating, writing and implementing lesson plans for both programs that include the SAC that has Kindergarten through 5th grade and the Teen program that has the youth 6th through 12th grades
  • I have overseen the purchase and food requests for any of the plans if needed along with any improvements needed along the way
  • I have made sure that different 4-H materials, experiences and knowledge have been passed out and discussed through different partnerships and personal experiences from partnerships such as the Texas Farm Bureau with obtaining different curriculum's and materials to teach the youth about subjects such as: Beef Cattle, Angora Goats, Pecans, Honey Bees and more and 4-H Extension offices in Bell and Coryell County's with information and other programs we can introduce and program for such as the Master Gardeners program we had this past month of April through June
  • I have a passion for helping families and youth that come into our facility and have been providing this for over 15 years
  • With CYS, I have had the privilege of teaching and mentoring others to include staff, children and parents on Child and Youth Services whether it be in the School Age Center, Middle School Youth Center, and Child Development Center
  • I maintain a healthy relationship and facilitate partnerships with the school districts as we all work together to make sure the youth are taken care and are being educated correctly
  • I continually show responsibility in cooperating with other CYS programs and encouragement to all ages of children in education through different modes of help in ways of computers, sitting down and even going to the schools to have lunch and meeting their teachers
  • I make sure that all persons who come into contact with Child and Youth Services and have taken responsibility for ensuring the quality and consistency of programming with the environment, equipment, program structure, children with special needs, curriculum, our safety practices, risk management procedures, child abuse/neglect, and how we support our families of our communities to provide ways for them to learn and be social at the same time
  • We are a facility that gets accredited every five years but can be checked on periodically annually to make sure that we are still up to code in our academies and curriculum processes
  • I make sure that I am aware my surroundings to include any additional information and or help needed from the Trainers, the plans being completed by the staff, how the materials are being taught to the youth and what can be done better
  • Having this experience and knowledge of the after-school accreditation process help a program succeed and stay above and beyond the level of continual operations
  • I completed My Middle School Youth Center Practicum, Completed the Trainer of Trainers Course in August 2017, prepared classes for other childcare facilities using various computer programs such as excel, power point and word using multiple applications
  • Have worked with programs such as Edge, Skies, Workforce Prep and School Liaison help as more resources in this learning process
  • Implementation of safety practices, new standards of operations, regulations and other policies have always been taught and supervised so make sure they have been followed properly as well as the developmental plans of the children and staff new and seasoned
  • I have maintained the utmost professionalism with organizing trips and meetings, philosophies, principles, methods and techniques, policies, procedures and coordinating the most positive, uplifting, and best place there is to work with children
  • I have organized summer camp trips, winter camp as well as day trips for smaller ones that promote safety and maintain accountability of all staff and children attending
