- Started both trips not knowing any of the 19 other volunteers but learned how to live and work with total strangers-figured out how to get alone, share space, and tackle problems as a team.
- Figured out how to communicate with people from a completely different culture, and interacted with children and adults from both facilities even with a language barrier.
- Saw firsthand how to make a real difference, not just talk about it-was part of building something that will help children learn and heal for many years to come.
