- Responsible for maintaining and restocking the Bucket and Line Trucks.
- As well as completing mandatory DOT required truck inspection.
- Daily tool and equipment inspections.
- Cleaning High Voltage sticks and inspecting high and low voltage gloves.
- Maintain proper safety protocols with the crew for all projects and routines.
- Inspections on Underground equipment such as switch gears, transformers, vaults, and tap boxes.
- Inspections on Overhead lines, insulators, transformers, and switches.
- Troubleshoot all faults on the system between underground and overhead primary.
- Understand and utilize proper switching procedures for combination of overhead and underground projects and call outs.
- Remain On-Call 24/7 with a small crew and living closest to our region I remain prepared for any call outs to service with a journeyman.
- Set and replace poles and hand three phase overhead service.
- Pull and replace multiple three phase underground services and transformers.
- Understand and utilize how to read a one line map.
