  • Working with 28 Associations and 7 Counties on Grant applications for OWEB and NRCS with 28 associations on Rangeland Wildfire Protection and Prevention Plans, attending annual meetings, insurance reimbursements, and inventory transfers. I oversee expenditure tracking for theRangeland Program, assisting the Rangeland Coordinator with inventory, Association formation, and administrative support. Maintain training records and Agreements for the Associations along with processing reimbursements for insurance and admin fees. Additional tasks include scheduling and drafting agendas, recruiting keynote speakers for the annual summit, field questions, and providing support anytime day or night. I also create and modify ArcPro maps for the 28 Rangeland Fire Protection Associations

  • Entered data, generated reports, and produced tracking documents. While on this rotation I assisted with approval and verification of Firewise Communities. I researched outdated CWPP’s and tracked down the upgraded version and/or got future completion dates. I assisted in gathering and analyzing the Community Assistance Grants. During this, developmental I also worked with OSU on the Oregon Wildfire Risk Explorer; acquiring data and testing this tool.

  • Enhanced communication between executives and team members by organizing meetings and creating detailed agendas for optimal productivity. I completed four Fiscal Budgets from the monthly expenditure tracking that I managed and various State/Federal grants for several programs within the Agency. These grants include but are not limited to SFA, VFA, and NRCS. With the VFA grants, I processed payments for the Rangeland Association. Eastern Oregon Area had several NRCS grants, I reviewed quarterly documentation and accomplishments along with the SF-270 request for payment. Each month I processed purchase orders for incoming bills. I scheduled monthly meetings and various conferences varying from 7-85 people. This included the location, lodging, agenda, and keynote speakers. I composed letters and reviewed drafts for the Area Director and Assistant Area Director. I assisted them with calendar scheduling and their workloads. In 2010, I integrated some of my duties to assist in the development of administrative tasks for the Rangeland program. This included teaching the processes along with helping them complete their required forms and forwarding documents to the appropriate person within the State Agency. I helped review the draft MOU between the Rangeland Association and the BLM. I received phone calls daily from landowners regarding what/how to complete forms and what they can use a specific grant for. Along with the Rangeland Program, I also worked with Landowners on a cost-share grant we have for burning. I assisted them with the paperwork and processed for payment. During the summer months, I am one of the three Area Duty Officers which entails being on call for any fire needs within the Area

  • Managed high-stress situations calmly and effectively, ensuring timely assistance to those in need. While working for ODF I supervised two individuals; I ensured proper time management, accuracy of their work, and their training in dispatching resources by radio. I tracked both ground and air resources, found map pages and dispatched both to necessary incidents. I had a 6-month detail into the Dispatch Supervisor position which also included office equipment maintenance and repair scheduling, creating discretionary actions when a problem arose. I used Jackson County Front Counter to find landowners by tax lot numbers, Spot Fires and map books to get the location (Legal), ROSS to order resources, Outlook to page it out and all the Microsoft programs.

  • Timber – While working in the Timber department I oversaw the pre-work needed to be done before a timber sale and after a sale

  • These files were available to the public if requested
  • Geometric – Working in Geometrics I was responsible for coping and folding maps for the front desk when they got low
  • I also filed aerial photos
  • Fleet Management - While working for Fleet Management I did background checks on all employees driving vehicles
  • If there was a problem with an employee’s background check, I copied the report and gave it to their supervisor
  • I also completed all the vehicle reports such as mileage, accident, and maintenance
  • I filed confidential documents and made sure everyone was authorized to operate equipment and vehicles
  • Property Management – I organized several silent auctions by placing the items in some type of order, numbered them and then put them in the computer and removing the property numbers and anything else that had or said BLM or FS
  • I was also in charge of making sure every piece of equipment had a number that could be tracked if needed by location and individual to whom the equipment was checked out to
  • Office Administrative – With the Office Administrative department I organized the Interagency Library
  • I updated sections of the manuals that were outdated
  • Inputted all individuals that had checked out a book
  • I had authority to manage confidential files within the Interagency Office
  • Fire Dispatch – During the summers, I would assist in Dispatch if needed
  • In the spring of 2004, I was requested to strictly work in dispatch only
  • While working for dispatch, I learned how to operate and work in ROSS
