• Hurricane Harvey Clothing Drive, September 1st, 2017; Organize donated clothing to redistribute and deliver to individuals and families.
• Brenham State Supported Living Center, April 12th, 2023; Assisting in the set up of a event day for the center residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Participating in activities such as kickball and volleyball, and serving rootbeer floats.
• Houston Methodist Orthopedic and Aquatic Therapy, 03/12/24-03/15/24; Observed a Physical Therapist evaluate and treat patients in an outpatient setting, gaining insight to the rehabilitation process. Increased effective communication skills with patients by shadowing interactions during treatment. Learned in different areas of rehabilitation such as aquatics, and the different methods between them.
• UTMB Sports Medicine and Rehab Facility, 07/11/24-08/02/24; Observed multiple Physical Therapists evaluate and treat patients in an outpatient setting, engaging in discussions about strategies and treatment techniques. Taking notes of various procedures and sessions to understand each PT's difference in approaches.
• UHCL Recreation and Wellness Center, 09/12/24-09/13/24; Gained hands-on experience in patient care by assisting patients with comorbid conditions; such as Parkinson's and previous histories of strokes/aneurysms.
• HCA Houston Healthcare Rehabilitation, 10/07/24-10/17/24; Observed multiple Physical Therapists evaluate and treat patients in an inpatient setting, which require long-term extensive treatments. Taking notes regarding the patient's level of function and the ability to perform daily tasks or live independently.
