  • Crew leading a crew up to six people. Breaking down orders, setting up line changes, measuring the carpet to assure the length per row is correct. Guiding my crew to make sure that the orders are done and adequate time and quality. Creeling- replace yarn when needed and during creel changes and line changes.
  • Mending- use mending gun to replace the stitches where the yarn is missing from the back of the carpet usually a problem with the tufting machine or a break out in the creels rack, yarn run out of the needles. As well as place a core in the roll up and staple the carpet to the core. Control the roll up cord and box to make sure that the turf is rolling up properly. When finished cut turf across and repeat.
  • Quality control/ trimmer- trim away excess yarn from the mender on the top side of the carpet. Inspecting the turf for any signs of defects such as lines/streaks. Fill out paperwork for each roll and place the correct ticket on each roll for proper footage and roll number.
  • When caught up with job mender and trimmer will go help/assist the creelers and lead with any help that is needed.
