I had many daily responsibilities and duties such as:

• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood specimens as needed.
• Ensure proper labeling and handling of all blood samples.
• Communicate timely and efficiently with other staff and providers.
• Ensure proper PPE was worn at all times and keep a clean work space.
• Oversee daily lab operations to ensure timely and accurate testing.
• Monitor inventory and order lab supplies and equipment as needed.
• Maintain accurate lab requisitions for patients, pricing of labs and processes of blood sample collection, drug screen testing, and documentation.

• Answered incoming phone calls, addressed questions from customers and healthcare providers as well as handling out going calls to customers to make them aware when medications were ready or needed further approval from their insurance company.
• Assisted in pharmacy workflow by helping pharmacists with medication dispensing, labeling, and packaging.
• Counted and labeled prescriptions with the correct medication and quantity.
• Provided great customer service, creating many positive relationships with both new and returning patients at the pharmacy counter.
• Accurately input prescription information into the pharmacy system once a prescription was sent in.
• Monitored inventory levels and notified the pharmacist of low-stock or expired medications.
