Being a Foodrunner is a fast-paced job, especially during peak hours, and it definitely kept me on my toes. I was constantly moving, keeping track of table numbers, handling trays, and helping out with anything the team needed. It wasn’t always easy, but I liked the energy of it—and it felt good knowing I was helping things run smoothly and making sure guests had a good experience.
Working as a busser at Olitas was a great experience that taught me how important it is to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. My main duties included clearing and resetting tables, running food, refilling drinks, and making sure the dining area stayed clean and organized throughout service. I also worked closely with the servers and kitchen staff to keep things moving smoothly during busy shifts, especially during lunch and dinner rushes.
I took pride in staying quick on my feet, being reliable, and helping to create a good experience for every guest. I had to leave the position because I relocated to San Diego, but I’m grateful for everything I learned and the strong work ethic it helped me build.
Being a busser at a restaurant taught me a lot about teamwork, time management, and customer service. My main responsibility was to support the servers and keep the dining area clean and running smoothly. This meant clearing and resetting tables quickly, making sure guests had a clean and pleasant environment, and assisting with anything the servers or kitchen staff needed to stay on pace during busy shifts.
