As a nurse in the ED, I am responsible for any task at hand whether it be Triaging patients, Starting IV's or EJ's, assessing patients, IV/IM/ NG and PO medication administration for adults and pediatrics. Very experienced pediatric patients, pediatric IV'S, pediatric medication administration. Running codes as well as Assisting with codes, wound care, procedure set ups, performing EKG's, Inserting Catheters, Level- one transfusions, Accessing porta-cath's, Assisting the MD with Central Lines, Transporting patients, giving report on patients, Patient care, or Cleaning rooms. I have extensive experience caring for ICU level patients to get them stable prior to admission or transfer to another facility. Very experienced in sedation procedures. On many occurrences I am responsible for caring for multiple ICU level patients throughout the shift. I have experience with patients on vent's, their settings and knowing how to troubleshoot them. I've worked at both a cardiac and stroke receiving hospitals, so I'm very familiar with protocols prior to Cath lab admission or monitoring these critical patients and communicating with a Cardiologist or Neurologist. Have experience with Labor and Delivery patients as well as pregnant women of all stages. Experienced with assisting multiple births , managing emergent births, and scrubbing for an emergency OR Delivery.
