• I have been staying at home and raising my five children, which has not only taught me valuable skills, but has allowed me to adapt to many new situations as a parent.
• Some of the skills that I have been able to use on a consistent basis include organization, time management, multitasking, meal planning and preparation, and financial and schedule planning.
• By staying at home and raising my children, I have been able to gain the necessary skills to help problem solve and adapt to new situations.

• I recruited families for the State of Michigan DHHS in Berrien County
• I completed all necessary paperwork and home visits to license foster homes
• I matched and placed newly committed foster children into foster homes
• I completed home visits, paperwork, payments, etc to ensure foster homes were current and accurate with their license

• I provided casework services to abused and neglected children and their families while working toward reunification or another permanent plan of placement
• I screened and assessed individuals to develop care plans
• I helped find resources and made referrals suitable to address clients’ problems in housing, employment, parenting skills, medical and mental health, and any other area deemed as a deficit
• My duties also included writing court reports, attending and testifying at court hearings, transporting, and supervising parent visitations
• Communicating and attending meeting with those involved with the child/family including, but not limited to, teachers, counselors, family members, doctors, therapists, foster parents, and coaches.
