Started my employment with St. Mary's Medical Center in their Level 2 Trauma Emergency Room until Fall of 2021. I transferred to Clinical Decision Unit, which is an observation unit caring for a wide variety of patients. Work as staff nurse and charge nurse on this unit currently.

• Implemented medication and IV administration, catheter insertion, and airway management.
• Delivered high level of quality care to diverse populations while overseeing patient admission and triaging based on acuity and appropriate department admission.
• Enhanced patient satisfaction by providing compassionate, holistic nursing care that addressed physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
• Educated patients, families and caregivers on diagnosis and prognosis, treatment options, disease process, and management and lifestyle options.
• Monitored patient condition by interpreting and tracking EKG readings, identifying irregular telemetry readings and updating team members on changes in stability or acuity.
• Provided direct patient care, stabilized patients, and determined next course of action.
• Oversaw delivery of care for patients on medical-surgical unit, providing direct care, delegating nursing assignments and supervising team comprised of nurses, LPNs, technicians, and unit clerks.

• Started as an LPN working float pool for approx 1.5 years then transferred to Respiratory Stepdown
• Worked with ventilated patients, and cardiac drips such as Cardizem, after approximately 1.5 years, I transferred to Pediatrics 2005 and enjoyed that for 6+ years before going to the Emergency Department Sept 2011
• The ER has challenged me to continue to develop professionally
• Although I enjoyed the role of staff nurse in the ER, I have trained and worked triage and operated in the Charge Nurse role when needed.
