  • I am currently a Unit Assistant on the Peds/PICU floor at Memorial Hospital.
  • My responsibilities include stocking rooms, setting up and tearing down rooms upon admission and discharge, answering phones, printing records upon request, updating programs for call lights and nursing, assisting nursing and management with patient care and projects as needed, greeting patients and family upon entering the unit, transferring calls to appropriate staff and precepting and training new staff on the unit.

  • Managed inventory of essential supplies for the unit, minimizing stock shortages or delays in service delivery. Implemented new expiration date assignments leading to a reduction in expired products on the unit.
