12 hour shifts as sole provider at busy Urgent Care clinic with Peachtree Immediate Care. Efficiently and properly taking care of each patient. Covering several clinics as Locum in the the greater Atlanta area.

• Competent care of acute illnesses and injuries; years of clinical practice provides for good judgement on what can be taken care of in urgent care and what needs to be sent to ED.

• Ordered and executed various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient condition. Treated asthma exacerbations, gastroenteritis, URI, UTIs, laceration repair, splinting.

• Skillfully supported physicians during basic and invasive medical procedures as well as working independently in care and treatment of patients seeking emergency care.

• Covered FT for provider on maternity leave.
• Referred to and consulted with physicians and other healthcare providers on patient care.
• Ordered and interpreted diagnostic testing to confirm diagnosis and implement accurate treatment plans.

• 12 hour shifts averaging 34 patients.
• Suturing, interpreting ECGs/xrays, I & Ds, ABGs, fracture/dislocation reduction, conscious sedation, intubation, team running full codes, chest tube insertions.

• Covered for professor on medical leave: was asked to remain FT but prefer clinical practice.
• Prepared and presented daily lectures, mentored students and advised on career paths.

• Examined, analyzed and responded to critical patients such as cardiovascular, respiratory, abdominal, and neurological in emergency situations at busy ER.

• Primary care responsibilities treating chronic and acute illnesses, preventative medicine, and specialty referrals for military families.

• Worked effectively in fast-paced environment for 12 hour shifts. Procedures included I & D, suturing, interpreting radiographs, splinting.
