I resigned from my legal career when my mother became ill with dementia. I felt my role as being her caregiver was my top priority in making sure she was cared for properly. After my mother passed, I went back to work at a Law firm in downtown Houston but only stayed for a short time after realizing that my Corporate career was no longer fulfilling my life and I was being lead in a different direction. Caregiving is not a job but a calling and I have no regrets on my career change for the better.
