Former coach and amateur boxer seeking position as group boxing instructor. As a military spouse, have had a diverse employment background over the last decade and a half and have developed a very distinctive skill set due to it. A jack of all trades in the best sense, am hoping to bring high energy, adaptability, passion for the sport of boxing, and a unique perspective to the team as a whole.
Have worked as an abstract expressionist painter through numerous moves, multiple states, and abroad in Japan selling original art pieces through online platforms as well as commissioning pieces through direct customer interactions. Continue to create original pieces as well as abstract portraiture through commission and am looking to expand the business stateside.
During the three years living on installation in Iwakuni, Japan, worked as a mentor on the H&HS Command Team. Was a senior mentor on an installation of more than 13,000 military members, their families, and civilian employees both American and foreign national. Provided guidance to military spouses, children, and families on the hardships of military life as well as life abroad. Assisted in developing skills to lead more fulfilling lives overseas, planned and coordinated regular group events and one-on-one mentoring sessions both on and off base, and provided guidance on a multitude of subjects including career building, marriage and family matters, personal growth, travel, military life, and education.
Provided boxing instruction to a wide variety of clientele on installation to include military spouses, children, and young Marines in both private one-on-one and group settings.
Mentored young artists in developing their fundamental art skills through weekly lessons in drawing and painting in various mediums. Inspired and assisted students in developing their own personal creativity and self-expression through personalized curriculums.
Instructed numerous class types including cardio boxing, level one beginners boxing, skills and technique boxing, children's boxing, and sparring while also focusing on own personal training in amateur boxing in different states along the east coast, sparring at different gyms three to five times per week and participating in numerous sparring exhibitions regularly. Took private clients to develop basic boxing techniques and created personalized training plans tailored to each individual's needs and goals. Also worked with gym management in membership sales, organizing and coordinating boxing team practices and events, and further expanded the children's boxing program. As the only female on the competitive boxing team at the gym, was able to bring greater engagement and visibility to women's boxing at all levels.
