As a participant in this rigorous training program conducted by the Department of Homeland Security's Center for Domestic Preparedness, Cody has gained invaluable skills and knowledge in handling hazardous materials and responding effectively to chemical, ordnance, biological, and radiological incidents. Cody holds several educational credentials as an EMS Instructor Coordinator (I/C) with a special focus on Tactical Casualty Combat Care (TCCC) and Deployed Medicine in a contaminated environment. With more than ten years of experience managing public safety operations, Cody has experience with all phases of emergency management including planning, response, recovery, and mitigation. He has expertise in incident command systems and has led teams during multiple deployments to provide emergency care and security throughout the Midwest. Throughout his career, Cody has managed large-scale emergency response projects and coordinated with multiple stakeholders, including state and federal stakeholders to ensure successful and optimal outcomes. His expertise in emergency management protocols has enabled him to develop effective strategies for responding to hazardous situations & expanding incidents. Cody has been a part of the Fire Rescue & Emergency Services field for over 10 years. His passion for EMS stems from his own experience as a medic in the field. While working as an EMS Instructor Coordinator, Cody has developed a strong understanding of the importance of maintaining and improving the quality of EMS education. His passion for training first responders to perform at their best has led him to work with several international organizations that provide critical training to first responders around the world.
