• Overall supervision of the operations and employees of the DoD operated Air Cargo terminal
• Plans, schedules and executes logistic support to task forces to complete air and ground transportation operations for contingency, exercise and special airlift missions.
• Responsible for reviewing/planning logistics initiative, identifying potential integration opportunities/coordination for pre-staging cargo in response to crisis of the mission
• Oversee planning support for Expeditionary/Amphibious/Carrier ships deploying – reviewing Naval Operational Logistics concepts and initiatives.
• Manages up to 30 civilian employees, including 5 shift leaders, 12 permanently assigned cargo military-24 hours a day (3-shifts) – 365 days per year.

• Serves as a safety observer for all cargo-handling operations, to include the preparation handling and marking of hazardous materials in accordance with DOD and International Air Transport Association (IATA) guidelines.
• Monitors first-line Leaders in their ability to direct and control general cargo handling processes for accuracy to include and reconcile transportation records, inventories processes physical for the entire terminal, pallet build-ups, receiving of cargo, packaging of cargo, marking and labelling of cargo.

• Identifies and redistributes excess tie-down assets and coordinates with various locations to fill shortages in coordination with MAJCOM and Department of Defense components including United Arab Emirates-US Navy operations.
• Maintains, Joint Inspection Instructor qualifications, completed the Instructor training in Germany, conducting unit class-room training course, teaches one initial class and completes joint inspection of cargo yearly, administers joint inspection refresher examination every two years, including administers end-of-course exams and hand-on-evaluations.
• Manages the Joint Inspection program, assigned as the Program Manager, ensures unit classroom training courses established, scheduling unit level training for appointed personnel on a frequency to cover initial and refresher training requirements.
• Manages the Hazmat Inspector qualification for 12 employees, working with Air Mobility Command (521st AMOW/NAVY Team at Ramstein-Germany) ensuring employee’s enrollment bi-annually, to complete the on-line training.
• Identifies Initial Hazmat Inspector qualification for new hires or existing employees who have been hired or promoted to hazmat section, setting up Hazmat Virtual Training Access with Air Mobility Command (521st AMOW/NAVY Team at Ramstein-Germany) – courses conducted on-line in Bahrain – web based.
• Evaluates – utilizes Global Air Transportation, Execution System – automated information system designed for track-document-manage-process for air-surface movement of personnel and cargo across all branches of the US Department of Defense DoD, and Global Decision Support Systems to monitor logistics operations and identify changes, issues and transportation problems, eradicate customer concerns, elevate to higher authority as appropriate.
• Supported/coordinated with Theater Mortuary Affairs Office in Bahrain –IAW Defense Transportation Regulations - moving Human Remains to final destination – examining documentation and receiving and in checking in automated system for tracking purposes – along with the Bahrain Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Immigration – ensuring the Human Remain is moved IAW DODD 1300.22, Mortuary Affairs Program and AFI 34.242.
• High level of customer service experience, communicating and resolving related air freight/shipping and receiving issues, making the best decision with the team, supervising, responding proactively to emails, and inquiries from internal and external DoD tenant commands/Air Terminals overseas in the CENTOM area.

• Accountable for the US NAVY Air Terminals stock level of sustaining RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tags, which was used to provide ITV (In transit visibility) within the Defense Transportation System to tags pallets IAW Defense Transportation Regulations 4500.9-R part II as per CENTCOM guidance – ensured originating sustainment/retrograde pallets/rolling stocks destined to locations were supported by RFID interrogators.
• Coordinated/supported Foreign Military Sales (FMS) material moving through the airlift system via Air Mobility Channel, received/staged shipments IAW MIL-STD-129R, coordinated diplomatic clearance for processing instructions prior to shipment arrival.
