• Eastern State hospital is an adult based forensic hospital. Duties included psychiatric nursing and managed care for male adult population referred from correctional facilities for purpose of restoration to stand trial and/or crisis stabilization. Unit 4A-4B. Trained in Therapeutic Options (TOVA) for use of verbal deescalation and including proper use of seclusion/restraint processes. on unit to manage assigned disciplines. Units housed up to 24 patients each.

Provided nursing care for adolescent patients ages 5-17 with varying degrees of mental illness, trauma and substance abuse. Trained in TOVA and Trauma Informed care. Fast paced environment with multiple daily crisis interventions. Nurse staffing ratio 1:12 with medication LPN float. Residential home for several patients on the spectrum with many discharged to foster care or group homes.
