Accomplishments
- In my 6th grade year, I participated in a Montessori Model United Nations, where, I would go to New York City and participate in mock events representing real countries. I represented the country Ecuador and discussed real world problems with other students representing other countries. Then, on the last day, we heard a speech from a United Nations member talking about how the situations we had been discussing apply to the real world.
- In my 7th and 8th grade year, I went on 2 school sponsored international trips. For my 7th grade year, my class went to Italy and I learned international etiquette while traveling and how to communicate with people even with a language barrier. In my 8th grade year, I went to Costa Rica and participated in picking up garbage on the beach and how to respect the environment near the beach. I also participated in rescuing baby sea turtles from poachers and helped return them to their natural environment.
- I am part of a volunteer organization called the National Charity League, I volunteer with my mom for many different events, such as puppy adoption, marathon aid, the Mountain Backpacks Organization, and Stage Door Theatre.
