I currently work in a Med-Surg/ Telemetry unit in an acute hospital setting. I am often floated to other units based on hospital needs. On a typical shift I care for an assignment of 8 to 10 patients. As a Nursing Assistant, my main duty is to emphasize on measuring and monitoring vital signs for my team of nurses, and following the patient care plan In any patient change of condition. I am responsible for working alongside my team in delivering exceptional patient care, including assisting with Activities of Daily Living, turning and repositioning patients that are prone to skin breakdowns, and answering patient call lights promptly. I am often utilized as a patient safety sitter both one-on-one, as well as through Avasis video systems.

I worked in collaboration in a team of Registered Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, and other vital members of the healthcare team delivering prompt and excellent patient care to an assignment of 12-16 patients in a Telemetry/Med-Surg unit within an acute hospital setting. My duties included answering patient call lights in a timely manner and to provide patient support with Activities of Daily. I was responsible for measuring, monitoring and documenting vital signs using electronic charting. In addition, I was also applied as a safety sitter when needed, for patients requiring High Level Observation

I Worked alongside a team of Registered Nursing staff to provide care to patients in a
Med-Surg/Telemetry unit in an Acute Care hospital setting. I was responsible for delivering assistance to an assignment of 10-14 patients. My duties included support with Activities of Daily Living, escorting and transporting patients, and measuring and documenting patient vital signs. My duties also included working proactively with a wound care team assuring that our patients were repositioned every 2 hours to prevent skin breakdowns. I also stocked the unit with supplies that were necessary to provide care

Under supervision of Licensed Nursing staff, I assisted in providing support and care with Activities of Daily Living to an average of 18-20 residents in Skilled Nursing Facility setting; other duties included assisting residents with Physical Therapy including Range of Motion exercises and Ambulating residents short distances while wearing supportive equipment.

I managed an Assisted Living Facility of 59 residents overnight. My duty was to oversee the facility and respond to any emergencies or concerns, and to provide support to residents. I also assisted with medication administration, breathing treatments, and sugar checks.

I was part of a special team of healthcare workers; and together, along with family members, and specialists we created a plan of care to fit each client individually, in their own living situations.

My duties included support with Activities of Daily Living, meal planning and preparation, medication reminders, and assistance with housekeeping tasks.

Under the direct supervision of Licensed and Registered Nursing staff, I provided care and support to a group of 12-16 residents in a Skilled Nursing Facility, and in the Sub-Acute unit within the facility.
I assisted residents with Activities of Daily Living, and repositioning residents to prevent
skin breakdowns.
