I've worked with the district as an admitting clerk for the main hospital and emergency room. List of my job duties are as follows,

• Registered patients for imaging appointments and procedures, as well as for our emergency department.
• Scheduled patients for ultrasound, X Ray, MRI, cat scan, mammogram, bone density, EKG, Holter Monitors, spirometry, pulmonary function tests, colonoscopy, endoscopy, infusions, injections, ect.
• Greeted and registered new patients, checked for accuracy of demographic information, and updated existing records.
• In the emergency room, I triaged the patients and made sure based on the level that they were being seen in a timely manner.
• Answered and made phone calls to patients and helped them with any problems they needed answered.
• Transferred patients from our ER to a facility that had the specialty that they needed.
• Collected co-pays, verified insurance eligibility using web-based applications and entered data into the system.
• Complied with HIPAA guidelines when handling confidential patient information at all times.
• Provided excellent customer service to all customers, including visitors, vendors and employees.
