The Future Perfect Project envisions a world where every young person feels safe, seen, and celebrated in their home and community. We believe that the self-expression of LGBTQIA+ Youth is a declaration of a better future for us all.

FPP amplifies the creative voices of LGBTQIA+ youth by producing and facilitating online and in-person workshops, creating media projects and producing live performances of original work created by, about and for this current generation of queer youth.

• Co-founder of The Trevor Project, the only nationwide 24-hour suicide prevention and crisis intervention Lifeline for LGBT and Questioning youth. The founding of the org was inspired by the 1995 Academy Award winning short film, TREVOR, which was written by Celeste Lecesne and appeared on HBO in 1998 to launch the Trevor Project. Now the largest suicide prevention lifeline for LGBTQ+ youth, Trevor has expanded to include support via chat, text, TrevorSpace, a secure platform offering peer-to-peer support.

• Writer/Performer of the solo show POOF! which premiered at The Ancram Opera House in Ancram NY and later went on to win a Bobby Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2023.

• Writer/Performer of the Off Broadway solo show "The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey, which premiered at Dixon Place in NYC. Celeste was praised by the NYTimes as being “among the most talented solo performers of his (or any) generation.” Winner of The 2015 Outer Critic Circle Award.

• Actor in the Broadway revival of the hit play THE BEST MAN by Gore Vidal, directed by Michael Wilson and starring Angela Landsbury and James Earl Jones.

• Executive producer of the documentary film AFTER THE STORM, which premiered at LA Film Festival and aired on MTV. This full length documentary film follows the lives of 12 young people in the wake of hurricane Katrina as they attempt to present the musical "Once on This Island" in a destroyed New Orleans community center.

• Writer on the popular TV series, Will & Grace.

• Further Tales of the City - 4-Part TV series for Showtime based on the acclaimed series of novels by Armistead Maupin.

• Writer and performer of I CAN'T WAIT, written in conjunction with UNTIL THE VIOLENCE STOPS, an event to benefit The Global V-Day initiative to end violence against women and girls.

• Writer of the play THE ROAD HOME: STORIES OF CHILDREN OF WAR, presented at The International Peace Initiative at The Hague.

• The 30th Anniversary production of Mart Crowley's Boys in the Band, Lucil Lortel Theater Off-Broadway.

• Writer and performer of the award winning Off-Broadway solo show "WORD OF MOUTH". (Drama Desk Award, Outer Critics Circle & Bay Area Theater Award)
