Install and assemble mechanical systems for passenger rail car A650 for LAC Metro. Including underfloor equipment such as propulsion inverter, knife switch, air supply unit, brake control units, etc. Install interior panels, speakers, destination signs etc. Install cab equipment. Executed modifications to enhance system functionality.

Use hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, torque tools to assemble components according to engineering specifications. Perform bell check and continuity testing and verify electrical connections. Route and secure cables, install connectors and perform grounding and electrical terminations. Use of DMC crimpers, wago crimpers. Heat shrink and solder wires with heat gun.

Document work performed and report issues to engineering and quality teams.

Follow all safety procedures and manufacturing quality standards.

Work with commissioning team to assist in keeping vehicle on track for scheduled delivery time.

Perform modifications and rework of light rail vehicles at LACMTA commissioning sites. Diagnosed mechanical problems and determined solutions to correct concerns.

Assembled or disassembled complex mechanical systems such as couplers, air supply units, propulsion inverters, BCU, line reactors, etc.

Replaced worn or defective parts with new ones.

Utilized hand tools such as wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, torque wrenches, pneumatic tools

Move light rail vehicles around facility using air caster

Use forklift, pallet jack,or scissor lift to move or install equipment

• Track, update, and organize parts and serial numbers in accordance with NCR procedures.
• Follow current rework procedures in accordance with company approved EN/work instructions.
• Maintain and wear all safety and protective wear.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment, keep track of all KI tools and consumables.
• Adhere to all Metro site specific rules and regulations ( Blue flags, LOTO,metro support etc.)
• Train new hires on reading work instructions, blueprints, how to use tools and do the job

Install/wire up and troubleshoot car security alarms on new and used vehicles, in different new car dealers. Read diagrams on different vehicles. Customer service on any car alarm issues, questions or concerns.
