Customer service, clerical work, data entry, filing of charts. I also drug screen our patients. I connect with our patients in a way to make them feel comfortable and welcomed.
My responsibilities were to answer suicide and various crisis calls. It was my job to answer, manage and de-escalate these calls. I also fielded calls from area hospitals and mental health facilities for consults with clinicians employed by Turning Point. A large part of my job was multitasking and troubleshooting. I would have to say empathizing, sympathizing and connecting with our callers was the most important aspect of my job. I was eventually promoted to trainer of the triage department and then to shift lead. Other than the obvious training of new associates, it was also my responsibility to keep up with any changes in department procedures lead staff meetings, add to our training manual and other various duties. As shift lead, one of the primary functions of the job was to maintain an even job flow with my associates.
I was responsible for tracking various needs of the sober living facilities within Recovery Resources. I was also required to keep records of a multitude of daily, weekly and monthly tasks from each sober living house.
I sold, repaired, dispensed and adjusted eyeglasses. I also fit contact lenses. I was responsible for customer satisfaction. Part of my duties was to keep up with the status eyeglass orders. I had to maintain a good relationship with our lab and our patients. I was also responsible for opening and closing the store.
