Throughout my entire professional career, I have strived to learn and become better and in turn make others around me better. Early on in my career with Dematic I achieved this through self-training. I took courses to better my electrical career and eventually lead to the twenty-three state licenses I hold as a master or higher electrician. As I gained confidence, I would ask more questions of my leaders and other professionals in my path, this led to creating documents like the inventory tracker (CLS) and the Project Planner. Tools that have been in place for years within Dematic installation. The goal always being how can I improve things without expecting others around me to have to spend more effort. To do this I have found you have to learn the pains of all your counterparts and work together to find the best outcome for everyone.

Communication Skills

I take pride in my communication abilities. Particularly in the two arenas of management and site execution. My long successful career with Dematic along with my background in accounting and my thirst for knowledge have put me in the position to be able to translate between the needs of both groups. This aligns extremely well for this position.

Leadership Experience

I recently read a publication from the PM institute that was on leadership and specifically on being a servant leader. As I read it, it was like the article came from my own mind. This is what I have always strived to do: enable more than direct. As a leadman on the floor of a Dematic site many years ago I would walk our “new guy” around our work area giving him the entire picture of our piece of the project, I would lay out our goals around completion, I would take time to give him feedback. I would always make sure he had the tools, material, and knowledge to be successful with his task. Throughout every step of my career with Dematic I have taken this same approach to leadership. I am immensely proud of the marks I have left within the Dematic installation family.
