  • As the Regional Distribution Center Manager, I had complete responsibility for the overall management and performance of the Regional Distribution Center (RDC) including warehouse operations, private fleet and 3rd party transportation, Pre-fab services, assets, building and equipment maintenance, customer relations, information technology, quality and security.
  • Led a team of 50+ employees (2 Operations Managers, 1 inventory manager, National Accounts team).
  • Was responsible for achieving company objectives in safety, productivity standards and cost control goals.
  • Developed and direct staff to ensure the safe, efficient and cost-effective operation and utilization of the facility and its assets, had a reduction in cost per line of 8% year over year though labor management and lay out efficiencies.
  • Built a culture of honest communication, problem solving, safety, customer focus and teamwork.
  • Oversee all distribution service activities to ensure customer requirements are met. Maintained a 99.8% ship on time metric as well as a 99.9% shipping accuracy.

  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination of training, and evaluation of the warehouse and transportation employees. Our team had two years of zero missed training set by our Safety department as well as zero lost injuries during same time period.

  • Responsibilities included: monthly budget attainment, interviewing, hiring, training and cross-training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; developing KPI’s and appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Ensure inventory control processes are in compliance and maintained in order to achieve the highest level of accuracy. Moved our building from counting one time per year to three times per year to ensure all product is accounted for.

  • Lead a team of 60+ employees in both inbound and outbound.
  • High volume DC with an outbound flow of 5000-6000 cartons a day, and Inbound of 12-14 containers a day accounting for up to 10,000 cartons per day.
  • Developed inbound/outbound metrics to ensure we stayed within load/unload time to reduce demurrage charges.
  • Worked with Customer Service and Sales teams to ensure all orders shipped within the shipping window.
  • Helped to build the new WMS system for the distribution center to gain efficiencies in picking and loading.
