Responsibilities went to the weekends as well.
Typically 6 days a week with one weekend off. Had a hand in every part of our cattle’s lives from the day they hit the ground to the day they went through the sale ring.

I worked here while I was going to welding school in San Antonio.
Started as a sales associate behind the gun counter and floor. Organized racks and shelves to maintain store visual appeal. As I progressed I joined the logistics team. Towards the end I was doing a mix of normal day shifts and overnights 10pm-7am give or take.
Unloading trucks, restocking, and resetting the store by layout maps.
Came here originally after finding out school wasn’t for me.
Tended to the ranch with a crew at the time. Responsibility’s were divided amongst us for the day or week. At this point we had quite a lot of mama cows so we stayed plenty busy just feeding and treating as needed.
Horseback nearly every day whether it was to gather to work cows or calves, prowling through cattle checking them and getting them used to horses, riding colts or just exercising the fat ones.
During the summer we would help move round and square bale hay we raised on the ranch.
