Champ Pacifique Mukiza

• Achievement: Won NASA’s App Development Challenge, also earning the first ever Pay It Forward award (Which Includes a piece of the Artemis flag that was flown in space) earned through extensive outreach.
• Innovation: Developed an application simulating lunar rover exploration of the moon’s South Pole; an application stated by NASA that could potential be used in aid for future Artemis Missions.
• Technical Mastery: Familiarized myself with Java, Python, and C# to create a winning app, recognized by NASA’s SCAN team.
• Community Impact: Promoted STEM in underrepresented communities, sharing the app and emphasizing the importance of technological education.

Hired by Iowa Barnstormers and multiple clients with large social media followings (many with over 100k followers). Organized BIG12 Conference production video in 2024. Invited to join media team for Monster Games CrossFit event in Missouri in 2023. I started doing professional shoots for clients within under a year of starting photography and videography.

• Advocated for equity and inclusion on a panel in Washington DC, sharing personal experiences with other students.

• Served as a panelist alongside peers to converse with teachers from different parts of Iowa, sharing perspectives and proposals for incorporating computer science into our state's educational system.
