ATTENDANCE

  • 1. Students are expected to attend all 24 days of school.
  • 2. Students absent more than two (2) school days have difficulty maintaining a “passing grade.”
  • 3. Any unexcused absence or more than two excused absences will result in the student being withdrawn from school.

TARDINESS

1. The school day will start at 8:30 AM. Any student not inside the classroom at that time will be considered tardy. Take note, three times late is equal to an unexcused absence.

STUDENT CONDUCT

  • 1. Students are expected to act appropriately, be attentive, show respect for staff and fellow students, follow directions, and complete all assigned classwork. No discipline problems will be tolerated.
  • 2. Radios, headphones, tape/CD/MP3 players, pagers, game consoles, other electronic devices, and cell phones are not permitted during summer school.
  • 3. Smoking or vaping is NOT permitted.
  • 4. Possession of any illegal substances (including alcohol) or weapons will result in immediate dismissal from summer school.
  • 5. Fighting (including play fighting), threatening/bullying, intimidation, harassment, or vandalism will result in dismissal from summer school.
  • 6. Students are restricted from any part of the building where summer school classes are not being held.

FOOD/DRINKS

  • 1. Food/drinks are NOT permitted in the classrooms or hallways.
  • 2. Bottled (plastic) water will be allowed in the classroom if permitted by the teacher.

DRESS CODE

  • 1. Swimwear, short-shorts/skirts, inappropriate sayings/photos on clothes (e.g. obscenities; promotes drugs, alcohol, or cigarettes), or clothing deemed inappropriate is NOT permitted.
  • 2. Students will be required to make the appropriate clothing changes in order to continue in class.

Cell Phones

1. Students are not allowed to have cell phones during the class period. Each teacher will collect cell phones at the beginning of each class and return them to the students at the end of the period.
