Procures, prepares, packages, and distributes medications and pharmaceutical supplies., Performs restocking of automated dispensing systems and documents all information required for Quality Control purposes, as assigned., Returns to stock and documents all medications not dispensed. Orders, maintains & organizes appropriate inventory to support dispensing activities. Assists in orientation of newly hired technicians, as assigned., Answers incoming telephone calls and electronic messages from facility staff and medical providers. Make follow-up calls to patients Take refill orders., Responds to customers in a timely manner. Assists with operational support functions., Accurately posts patients medication charges and credits of each charge. Enters data into an electronic database; ensures accuracy and timeliness of required data entry., Performs third-party insurance adjudication on applicable prescription orders. Ensures that correct billing codes and comments are present on applicable prescription orders., Performs cashiering functions when needed.
