I am a Ph.D. student since Jan. 2021. During the study at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville( UTk), I have been a core member of multiple projects that's data-driven or experiments-based. All the projects that I have been participated on requires a high skill on using matlab and python to analyze the data, which helps me build the skills on using these tools for data analysis.
1. I worked on investigated the possibility of eliminating the Fault-induced Delayed Voltage Recovery(FIDVR) by distributing renewable energy to the power system. With the project, the skills of analyze power system with PSSE has been greatly improved.
2. I developed the data compression algorithms for the FDR device( a kind of PMU device) to transfer and store the field-measured data effectively. I was able to do the compression on both the device side on the DSP board, and the server side with C# language.
3.I am the lead of the power system inertia online monitoring project, where I developed the algorithm to detect the pump storage switching event with the device-measured data, and build the public website to show the estimated inertia to the public.
In summary, I am skilled at PYTHON, MATLAB, C languages, website development(both front and back). As a PhD student graduated from Sichuan University, China, and a PhD candidate of UTk both on Electrical Engineering, I am also proficient in knowledge of the power system.
