I am a Master's level Mental Health and Child Development professional with 8+ years of clinical and community based experience working with children of diverse social, emotional, and mental health needs.
Through my various work and internship experiences, I have become extremely knowledgeable in clinical biopsychosocial assessment, crisis prevention and intervention, psychological research, mentorship/advising, development of wellness programs and services, psychotherapy, and other therapeutic trauma-informed supports and services for children and families.
Ultimately, my goal is to develop and implement a holistic community development center for underserved communities using neuroscience driven data regarding the interplay of childhood experiences and future well-being. I hope to uncover more post traumatic growth opportunities and experiences for African Americans to combat the genetic and developmental impact of trauma and adverse experiences.

Being a professional in the field of psychology , it is imperative that "self-care" does not become just another buzz word. When I'm feeling stifled, I like to use painting as an expressive outlet. Choosing colors based on my mood help me to create visual representations that make me feel something. When I need an escape from the world, I love to dive into a good book, fiction or non fiction, I have no preference. I am usually just looking to learn something and fly free into another person's world, taking in their perspective. When I feel like I just want to "take-off", I put on my beautiful yellow (my favorite color) skates and I do just that. When I am feeling angry, I head to the gym to punch and kick in a safe environment. My hobbies are my self-care because they help me work through my feelings, my emotions. They help me to return to a clearer headspace.
