I worked as a float health assistant for the school district of Superior Wisconsin. Gave medications to children that medications were prescribed to for various reasons. Head checks on children which had signs of head lice. Charting on every child that came in to the nurses office. Applied band aids to abrasions and cuts and ice packs to effected areas. Counted carbs for diabetic children that are too young to do so and made sure children got right amount of insulin. Made sure that every child was treated the same and cared for the same.

Supervise PCA and CMA staff. Do treatments on residents. Put in Doctor orders in MAR/TAR and call for Doctor orders when needed. Answer phone calls after 4pm from family members/friends/Doctors. Do appropriate paperwork when residents fall or get injured ,fax Doctors, and call responsible party's about falls or injuries. Assist residents with any concerns. Chart using paper charting in MAR/TAR. Provide any help that PCA and CMA may need and with a positive attitude. Draw up all insulin needles for the next day as the CMA's cannot draw up insulin in Minnesota. Oversee that staff members are doing there jobs appropriately.
