• Operation, maintenance and repairs of mobile cranes, ship side cranes, forklifts and equipment used in the handling of general cargo and movement of passengers on the waterfront. Primarily related to general cargo (containers), break bulk cargo (oil line pipe), cruise ships (luggage and provisions), barges (containers and vehicles), fishing vessels (palletized frozen fish) in Seward, Alaska

Equipment includes forklifts of all types from pallet jacks to 45 ton container handlers including extend boom and reach stackers. Grove Mobile RT cranes from 22 ton -130 ton, Manitowoc lattice boom crawler and truck cranes up to 300 ton.

• Preformed all crane and equipment inspections as required by State and Federal Agencies.
• Maintained compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing port operations, contributing to a safe and efficient work environment for all personnel.
• Planning and coordination of all crane lifts including heavy and / or specialized lifts.
• Supported vessel turnaround times by consistently meeting or exceeding established performance metrics for loading and unloading activities.
• Assisted in training new hires, contributing to the development of a skilled workforce capable of meeting operational demands.

• Winter over HEO and Crane Operator
• Operated heavy equipment including Case Quad Tractors, CAT Challenger, dozer, loader, piston bully, and trucks for the purpose of maintaining, construction and operations of Phoenix Airfield, ice roadway, and NASA LDB launch facility located on the Ross Ice Shelf at McMurdo Station, Antarctica. Attachments included snow drags, land plane (goose) weight carts for compaction, tow sleds (magic carpet) Creel Tool tow bar, various ski equiped sleds, and snow blowers.
• Operation of Grove RT875 mobile crane for station maintenance.
• GPS navigation with Garmin GPSMAP 696, Garmin GPSMAP 78s Marine, and Garmin Inreach. Developed and followed GPS routes in extreme limited visibility conditions.
• Vehicle and equipment recovery and towing operations.
• Optimized machine performance with regular cleaning, lubrication, and maintenance checks in accordance with station and manufacturer guidelines.
• Awarded Station "Commander Coin" for outstanding performance.

Complete operation and maintenace of heavy equipment used to maintain the Alaska Long Range Radar System in extreme remote locations around the State of Alaska on behalf of the US Air Force

• Regular duties included Operation and Maintenance of construction equipment (loader, dozer, grader, trucks) Including CAT IT28, CAT D6N, CAT 143H, RPM snow blower, International D9000, Tucker Snocat, for airfield snow removal, maintenance and cargo handling.
• Marshalling of aircraft and aircraft cargo loading / unloading
• Performance of Runway Condition Report (RCR) and communicating airfield conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Operation and maintenance of power generation equipment (up to 1000 KW) and power distribution system (power plant) including putting systems online, paralleling generators, and shutdowns.
• Snow removal on remote unimproved mountain roads in extreme weather conditions
• Facilities maintenance and industrial HVAC, fire suppression systems, potable and waste water systems maintenance, building maintenance and repairs.
