Summary

Previous job as an instrument maker in the Dept. of Physics at CU Boulder. I have about 50 years expirience as a machinest and welder at various shops in the Boulder area. 22 of those years have been for the Physics Dept here at CU. For design work, I use Solidworks and use Mastercam for CNC toolpaths. I work in close collaboration with the customer and can design from verbal descriptions, quick sketches on paper or from imported solid models or prints with geometric notation.

Collaborated in the Design and Fabrication of various devices used by all the schools in the University campus. Mainly devoted to the requirements of the Physics Department in the areas of Laser tech, Vacuum tech, Optical mounting systems and Cryogenic systems. Fabrication of items have been accomplished using CNC lathes and mills, precision lathes, sheet metal equipment, welding for aluminum and stainless steel.
