Summary

As someone who began my academic career at a community college I have a deep commitment to the value they bring. With twenty years experience advising I am deeply committed to helping students succeed in their academic journey. While a significant portion of student success depends upon being well informed about degree path ways and alternatives an equally important part is promoting a nurturing environment. College students in their first few years are just as in need of encouragement as students of younger ages. The fact that I excel in providing that environment was recognized by twice receiving a college wide advising award and twice receiving a university wide advising award at UTA.
