At HSC, I started as a brand new apprentice, and worked into becoming a journeyman, foreman, service electrician, as well as assisting on the take off/bidding, and overseeing of projects. The work consisted of:

  • Regular service calls at the North East Babtist Hospital in San Antonio.
  • Annual preventative maintenance at the NEB Hospital.
  • Many commercial remodels on military bases such as, Lackland AFB, Ft. Sam Houston, Port of San Antonio.
  • Lots of motor/lighting control.
  • A good bit of 120v to 24v lighting control conversions.
  • Lots of light pole work, both new install and troubleshooting issues.
  • 6 months industrial work experience at Dyess AFB in Abilene, Texas. Work here consisted of all class 1 div. 1 installs as it was all around jet fuel. Lots of troubleshooting and solving electrical issues around the base. Lots of grounding and cad welding. Some cathodic protection. New light pole install. Emergency fuel shut off controls.
  • I did a good bit of control work at an ice manufacturing facility as well as compressor wiring. Worked with equipment tech to commission the system.
  • I performed lots of underground work, as both equipments operator and installing conduit/pulling wire.
