  • Maintain and troubleshoot transformers, circuit breakers and all other related equipment in the Snohomish Region.
  • Perform all additional duties in the Custer district related to safety and vehicles.
  • Have been primary clearance holder and data entry of maintenance results the past 3 years.
  • Maintain efficient performance of the work and ensure minimum wasted effort, time and material throughout the job and review each job upon completion.
  • Participate in the morning safety meeting to include Move Safe. Review any related Safety Alerts, printed clearance information, and all permit information needed.
  • Prior to the day of the assigned work, I review the previous maintenance documentation to gain any insight into any additional work that needs to be done or any changes in a test that might need to be performed differently.
  • I instruct and inform in detail the process of each job when needed to the other Journeymen(JM) and apprentice.
  • As needed, review APM, Work Standard or Substation Maintenance Standards and Guides for clarity on future jobs.
  • Review future clearances of other crafts on ITOA to see if there is a possibility to do needed work under their clearance as a convenience to the system. Report any findings to my supervisor.
  • Diagnosed and repaired electrical systems in high-voltage environments.
  • Safety Proctor for Custer district to collaborate with others on safety protocols and ideas for BPA.
  • Led troubleshooting efforts for emergency electrical issues to help minimizing service interruptions and return equipment in a timely manner.
  • Managed inventory of tools and electrical components, ensuring availability for timely repairs and emergencies.
  • Collaborated closely with other crews during resource sharing to coordinate repairs efficiently without disrupting daily operations.
  • Maintained accurate digital and paper documentation of completed repairs and maintenance activities using Cascade.
  • Help streamline communication between crafts about upcoming maintenance needs so that proper preparations could be made ahead of time.
