Prepare and insert IV catheters
Administer IV medications and fluids according to physician orders and nursing protocols
Monitor patient vital signs and fluid balance during IV therapy
Assess patients for adverse medication reactions with appropriate interventions
Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner
Educate patients and families about IV therapy and related care needs
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
Maintain cleanliness and sterility of work environment
Maintain knowledge of current practices, procedures and equipment related to IV therapy
Manage credentialing process for healthcare providers, including initial and ongoing credentialing, re-credentialing and privileging
Verify provider information, such as licensure, education and training, to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements
Maintain accurate and complete records of provider credentials and privileging status
Collaborate with healthcare providers and other members of the care team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
Coordinate patient care activities such as appointment scheduling, scheduling diagnostic testing and procedures, and enuring timely medication administration
Serve as primary point of contact for patients and families, answered questions and address concerns related to care
Monitor patient progress and identify and address barriers to care
Patient advocate that assist in navigation of the healthcare system
Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely fashion
Multi-state nursing license expires September 2025
