Electronic Technician I / Instructor-Operator

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Operation & Instruction:
    Operate and instruct Soldiers on the use of simulation-based training systems including but not limited to:
    EST2000 (Engagement Skills Trainer)
    Call For Fire Trainer (CFFT)
    IED (Improvised Explosive Device) Trainers
    Vehicle Rollover Simulators
    Artillery and Nomadic Gun Simulators
    Demonstrate safe and effective use of training devices in accordance with Army standards and training protocols.
    Provide guidance, basic troubleshooting, and support to users during training sessions.
  • Maintenance & Technical Support:
    Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on training equipment.
    Replace components and wiring circuits under supervision.
    Use standard electronic test equipment such as digital multimeters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes to evaluate and verify operational status.
    Identify and report complex malfunctions for escalation or higher-level maintenance.
  • Administrative Duties:
    Input training system usage and equipment status reports into Army-based portals and databases.
    Update maintenance records and flag equipment for service or downtime when applicable.
    Track inventory and ensure readiness of training devices prior to issuing.

Airborne Instructor
